Each category has its own Experience Points, which are earned at the end of each match, split evenly across the categories of the player's three chosen Powers. Eco Powers simply provide more cash or income, which can be used both offensively and defensively. Bloon Powers and Sabotage Powers are offense-oriented, boosting the power of the player's Bloon sends and weakening the opponent's towers, respectively. Tower Powers and Track Powers are defense-oriented, boosting the power of the player's towers and providing additional stopping power, respectively. Powers are divided into five categories: Tower Powers, Track Powers, Bloon Powers, Eco Powers, and Sabotage Powers. After each use, most Powers must undergo a cooldown period before they can be used again, with some exceptions. Each Power can only be used a limited number of times per match, ranging from one use to fifteen uses, depending on the Power. Most Powers activate immediately upon pressing the slot they are assigned to, but some involve placing a tower or road item instead. Both players have three Powers in their loadout, each of which must be of a different category. Powers can be used during a match to activate a certain effect.
